About Sam Hicks, CPA, MST

Sam Hicks is a Certified Public Accountant and the founder of Hicks APC, a firm dedicated to providing comprehensive tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to individuals, business owners, and fiduciaries. With a focus on accuracy, integrity, and proactive guidance, Sam helps clients navigate complex tax matters and achieve their financial goals with confidence.

Sam earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California Lutheran University and a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University. His academic achievements, combined with years of experience serving a diverse client base, allow him to offer thoughtful and strategic tax solutions tailored to each client’s unique situation.

Before establishing Hicks APC, Sam worked with clients at both large regional and local accounting firms, where he developed a deep understanding of the tax and business challenges facing individuals and companies across various industries. Drawing on that experience, he built Hicks APC to provide the high-quality service and personalized attention that clients value most.

Sam’s practice specializes in income tax preparation, tax planning, and advisory services. He works closely with clients to develop strategies that minimize tax liability and support long-term financial success. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA).

Outside of the office, Sam enjoys camping and exploring the outdoors with his family. Whether he’s hiking a new trail or spending time under the stars, he values the opportunity to unwind and connect with the natural world — a balance that brings perspective and energy to his work.
